Cain Kills Abel

1 Samuel 4

Story 3
Old Testament

The Story Unfolds

After leaving Eden, Adam and Eve had two sons, Cain and Abel. Cain was a farmer, and Abel was a shepherd. Both brought offerings to God: Cain brought some of his crops, and Abel brought the best of his flock. God was pleased with Abel's offering but not with Cain's. Filled with jealousy and anger, Cain lured his brother into a field and killed him, committing the first murder. This tragic event showed how sin had begun to spread, causing pain and separation not just between humanity and God, but within the human family itself.
